Yes, 100%. All diff comparisons, Myers LCS calculations, and token analyses run locally inside your web browser. Neither your text, code snippets, nor uploaded files are ever sent to an external server or database.
Our diff engine employs a two-tier algorithm. First, it runs a Myers Longest Common Subsequence (LCS) algorithm to align corresponding lines. When consecutive modified lines are detected, a secondary word and character-level tokenizer inspects the intra-line tokens to highlight exact word, number, or punctuation modifications.
Yes. Switch to JSON Compare mode. When the Sort Keys toggle is enabled, JSON object keys are recursively sorted alphabetically and canonicalized prior to diffing. This isolates meaningful value changes without distracting key-ordering diff noise.
Yes. Click the Copy Patch button in the toolbar to copy a standard Unified Diff formatted patch with --- a/original and +++ b/modified chunk headers. You can also click Download Patch to save a .patch file ready for git apply.
Yes. Press Alt+↓ (or Option+↓ on macOS) to jump to the next diff change block, and Alt+↑ to jump to the previous change block. You can also toggle fullscreen with the fullscreen button or Esc to exit.
